The Tupper’s Drug Store was built in 1902 after a fire destroyed the original building. The pharmacy business was started in 1894 by George Tupper and in 1904 Dr. E. A. Deming, is listed as a co-owner with Tupper. In 1926, Dr. Joseph F. Melfi purchased the drug store and would operate it until the end of 1979 when he retired.
