The American Bank Building is a 1920 Neo-Classical Revival style. The American Bank and Trust was chartered in 1890 and started in a former 1877 drug store at the corner of Augusta and Pendleton (now Main) St. This building was built in 1920 on the spot of the former building. It was the third bank established in Greenville
