This site is dedicated to images of South Carolina. I started an Instagram account called @ExploreSouthCarolina on December 28th, 2017. At the time I was participating in the visit all South Carolina State Park challenge. I had many pictures from many state parks and interesting things I observed along the way.

I quickly realized that the images were popular, but the story behind the images were even more interesting. I capitalized on my genealogy research skills to find information about buildings that there is little information about.

I have lived in Fort Mill, SC for over 10 years. I am a member of the National Genealogical Society and the South Carolina Archives & History Foundation.
