Vaughn’s Stagecoach Stop

The Vaughn’s Stagecoach Stop was built ca. 1820 in Simpson’s Turnout. Simpson’s Turnout was on an old stage road between Columbia and Winnsboro. The structure is a weatherboarded frame, gable-roofed residence with a double-pile and central hall floor plan.

Location: Simpson, South Carolina (between Winnsboro and Ridgeway).
