The Biggin Church Ruins was the church of the parish of St. John’s, Berkeley (Strawberry Chapel). The church was established in 1706. This sanctuary was built in 1761 and reconstructed in 1781 after it was burned during the Revolutionary War. A forest fire around 1899 left the structure in the ruins pictured here.
