The Robinson-Hiller House was built in 1902 for Charles Plumber Robinson. Robinson founded the C.P. Robinson Lumber Company and was on the board of directors for the Bank of Chapin. The home was sold to James Haltiwanger Hiller in 1919. Hiller formed the Chaffin-Hiller Company (later known as the Chapin Mercantile Company).
