The Cameron Depot was built in the early 1900s. The Manchester and Augusta Railroad built a line through Cameron in 1894. The Manchester and Augusta line became the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and this depot was built soon after. The railway through Cameron later became the Seaboard Air Line.
