The Hipp Brothers Store was built pre-1911. The Hipp brothers were W.C. Hipp, C.S. Hipp, and J.C. Hipp. The Hipp Brothers Store in Mountville and Cross Anchor would bankrupt in 1923. Hipp Brothers was a general merchandise and furniture store.
