Counts and Shealy’s General Store

The Counts and Shealy General Store was built ca. 1910 by William Arthur Counts and William Ballentine Shealy. Counts and Shealy started their business in the late nineteenth century. Counts was also a cashier at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Little Mountain. Both were graduates of Newberry college and were well known and influential in all public affairs in the county.
