A. Friedheim & Bro

Arnold Friedheim arrived in the US in 1857, as a Jewish immigrant from Springe, Germany. After serving in the 4th Regiment of North Carolina Volunteers during the civil war, he settled in Rock Hill. In 1866, he opened a small store on Main Street. In 1898, a fire left A. Friedheim & Bro. in ruins. Within a year, they had rebuilt this structure that now is home to a Wells Fargo Bank
