The second sanctuary for United Presbyterian Church was located here on land that likely already had a cemetery and previously had a church. The church was founded in 1788 and believed to be located here in 1804, but graves date back to 1779 and include veterans of the Revolutionary Wars. The church relocated a five blocks south in 1881, which is the site of the current sanctuary and cemetery.
