The W. S. Foxworth Building is inscribed as 1901 and 1939, but the national registry says the building was built in 1888. William Stacy Foxworth started a mercantile business in 1879. Foxworth was known for his general merchandise and real estate. A noteworthy thing I found is that Foxworth lost his right arm in an accident at 12 years old (in 1866).
