The Gilder & Weeks Drug Store in Joanna dates back to at least 1948. Cyril Abrams opened this store and the store remained in the Abrams family long after his death. The Gilder & Weeks name seems come from a pharmacy in Newberry, but the connect is not clear. The building itself is believed to be built in the 1940’s.
