The Summer Hardware building, was built ca. 1890. By 1920’s, the building was occupied by G.B. Summer and Sons and C.T. Summer. G.B Summer & Sons was established in 1910 under the name of Summer & Shelley. C.T. Summer started his business in 1929 as a grocery store, flour and feed store, hardware store, coal and fertilizer.
