The New Hope Baptist Church was established in 1804. Rev. Spencer Bobo was the first pastor and the first church was known as Bobo’s Meeting House. The congregation was renamed New Hope Baptist Church in 1809. This sanctuary was built in 1924-26 and covered in brick veneer in 1961.
