Caleb Coker House

The Caleb Coker House was built ca. 1832 by Caleb Coker. Caleb was a merchant, directory of the Cheraw & Darlington Railroad, librarian of the Society Hill Library Society, and a charter member of the Darlington Agricultural Society. This is also the birthplace of Caleb’s son, Major James Lide Coker, an industrialist known for founding Coker College.
