Fant’s Book Store resided here starting around 1880. The Book Store was established by George W. Fant in 1851 and was originally named G.W. Fant & Son. The store is an outgrowth of Dr. Edmund Webb’s Drug and Book store, one of Anderson’s first business establishments. The Fant family owned this building until 2011.
