God’s Acre Healing Springs outside of Blackville dates to Native American lore. According to the lore; In 1781, 4 wounded Tories were badly injured with death eminent, were discovered by local natives and brought to their sacred water. The acre of land was sold by natives and after changing hands several times, is now deeded to God for all to enjoy.
