The photo shown is actually the second cotton mill, Republic Plant No 2, built 1916, on Dearborn Street in Great Falls, S. C.
The product produced here was the full process from opening a bale of cotton to weaving the cloth.
Shirting and fine goods was the type fabric made including U.S. Air Force dress blue shirting.
Republic Plant No 2 closed production in 1983 and the building remains. Plants No 1 and No 3 no longer exists.
