Initially opened in 1930 as the McClam Theatre after its owner J.S. McClam. Louis Probst bought the newly built McClam Theatre in 1931. This was a state of the art 1,000 seat venue for that time. It was shortly after renamed the Ritz Theatre. The theatre was closed in 1956. The shell of the theatre is still standing and where the auditorium was there is now a mini park called the Theatre Park
