The Knox Building was built ca. 1873 and was one of Abbeville’s popular tavern at the time. David Poliakoff founded D. Poliakoff dry goods store on Abbeville’s court square in 1900. Poliakoff was one of a very few Jewish Families in the area and the family operated the store until 2000.
