The Bank of Pomaria was built ca 1911. The bank stood adjacent to Pinner’s Pharmacy and was also managed by Dr. Pinner. The Bank of Pomaria managed to stay open until March 14th, 1930, when the Depression forced its closure

The Hope Rosenwald School was built in ca. 1926. The school was named for James Haskell Hope, the South Carolina Superintendent of Education from 1922 to 1945, because he sold more than 2 acres of his land for the “gift-like’ price of $5 to the Trustees of School District No. 60 for Newberry County, South Carolina in 1925

The St. Paul Lutheran Church was established in what is now Pomaria in 1761. The frame of the current church was built 1938, but the church burned in 2013, leaving only the frame. The frame was restored and the church was rebuilt

The church known as Hentz Street Church or the Old Methodist Church in Pomaria was the Graham Methodist Church. The church was abandoned in 1968 due to changes in church theology. It is believed to have been built in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. Very little information is known about this church or the congregration
